What's Behavior Boosters?

Behavior Boosters is a book series designed to encourage anyone involved with children to motivate positive behavior using fun and simple ideas.

As a teacher and mother of five, I intentionally designed these books to be easy to use with minimal reading or work involved. If you're like me, you have the best intentions of reading and applying child-training advice books, but can't seem to ever get past the first three chapters because of confusion, boredom, or lack of time. And if you do finish the book (good for you!), the question becomes how to apply it with your kids in a practical way.

So whether you're here out of desperation, curiosity, or just looking for something fun and different, your kids will thank you for using Behavior Boosters and beg for more. They might even create their own!

What's the Goal?

My goal in creating this book series is to:

  • provide a variety of positive behavior techniques
  • show you how simple it is to create fun and practical ideas
  • teach you how to teach your children Scripture that will be meaningful to them
  • motivate you to continually encourage your children in their positive character development (in other words--get them to want to behave without losing your mind!)

Why So Simple?

Each page has the same layout. The "Boosters" are broken down as follows:

Goal - desired behavior

Preparation Time - approximate time to prepare is given in increments from 0-20 minutes

How to Use - simple instructions on how to assemble and apply with child

Additional Ideas - for older/younger, single/multiple children, alternate ways to use, etc.

Hint - suggestions on how to reuse, simplify, make durable, etc.

Educational Benefit - it's always a good time to learn while having fun

Optional Incentive - some ideas on how to "reward" your child
